Aileen Welch Crisp, 93, beloved wife of late Clinton Pearson Crisp, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2021. Aileen was born in Athens, TN moving to Bryson City as a child. She was a life-long member of First Baptist Church of Bryson City, NC. Aileen worked various manufacturing positions in town including Sladen-Fakes, Singer Furniture and ended her employment career at Swain County Hospital.

Aileen was preceded in death not only by her husband Clinton, but her parents James Lee Welch and Beulah Lakey Welch of Bryson City, NC. Her brothers James Walter Welch of Aiken, S.C. and John Dwight Welch of Bryson City, NC.

Surviving Aileen are her two sons, Joseph Clinton Crisp of Bryson City, NC and Scott Pearson Crisp (Darlene) of Canton, NC; their children Leanna Arch (Jamie) of Cherokee NC. Emily Jones (Steve) of Lakemont GA, Kelly Allred (Stephen) of Canton NC, Dusty Schiestel (Monroe) of Kennesaw GA and Isaac Crisp (Brittany) of Waynesville NC; sister in law Ann Welch (James) and sister in law Kate Welch (Dwight), as well as numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 12:00 pm Saturday, July 17 at the First Baptist Church of Bryson City. Dr. John Tagliarini officiated with burial in Swain Memorial Park.

The family received friends from 11am to 12 pm Saturday at the church.
