Bill Oliver, 71, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Sunday, November 13, 2022. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Grover and Irene Lindsay Oliver.
He attended Midway Baptist Church.
Bill is survived by his wife of 35 years, Donna Oliver; son, Buck Jenkins and wife Chelsea, Kala Rogers and husband Nathan all of Bryson City; grandchildren who meant the world to him, Addisyn, Jade, and Ty Jenkins, and Gavin, and Rhett Rogers; sister, Pat Keener and husband Troy; brother, Tony Oliver and wife Dawn; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Thursday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Mark Sale, Tony Cochran and Tony Oliver will officiate with burial in the Grave Gap Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11am to 12 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Josh Oliver, Alan Keener, Brandon Bailey, Cayden Shuler, Mitch Carson, Spencer Jones, Ray Cloer, and Mark James.
Honorary pallbearers will be Luke Helton, Frank Jones, and Ira Bowers.
