Daniel Lee (Danny) Foreman, 58, of Carolina Beach, NC,  passed away on August 11, 2020, in Ela, NC.

Danny was born in Elkhart, Indiana, to Michael Foreman and Carolyn (Padgett) Foreman on September, 27,1961. Danny lived in Western North Carolina before setting off to Carolina Beach in the late 1980’s.

Within a short time of moving to town, Danny was hired on as a fisherman with the Winner family business. The work soon became his passion and lifelong career, combining his love of the outdoors, deep connection with the ocean and  quest for the next “big catch”.  He found great happiness in the many close friendships and adventures he experienced during his years at the coast.

He was a well loved member of the Carolina Beach fishing community until returning home to Western North Carolina to spend time with family. Danny enjoyed watching Nascar (Chase Elliott!), tinkering around his camper, making everyone laugh with his goofy sense of humor, telling tall tales from his days on the big pond and enjoying the river from his deck.

A tribute to Danny’s life was held off the coast of NC on Monday, April 19, 2021. In life, Danny found his greatest joy and contentment on the ocean. Fittingly, it will be his final resting place through the Eternal Reefs program- a permanent living legacy that memorializes the passing of a loved one by helping to preserve and protect the marine environment for the benefit of future generations.

Danny is survived by his mother, Carolyn Foreman; sisters, Shelly Foreman and Melanie (Adam) Bennett; nieces, Jenna Bauer, Samantha Bradley and Emily Long; and great niece and nephews, Rosie Bauer, Townes Bauer and Liam Bradley.

Danny was preceded in death by his father, Michael Foreman.
