Jonesboro, S.C.—Johnny H. Nations, Sr. “Hubert” passed away at his home in Jonesboro, South Carolina at the age of 79.
He was the son of Willard and Hester Nations; and spent his youth in what is now known as the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. He served in the United States Army and made his living as a truck driver until his retirement.
He is survived by a sister Maisie Nations King of Bostic, North Carolina. Two sons Johnny H. Nations, Jr. of Mint Hill, North Carolina and Roy M. Nations of Spartanburg, South Carolina. Two daughters Janet Nations of Aberdeen, Washington and Joye Jones (Ronnie) of Raburn Gap, Georgia. Seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
