Coalition, county improving access to safe syringe disposal

A safe syringe dropbox is in the works for Swain County. During the Swain County Board of Commissioners meeting on Thursday, March 12, it was determined the box will be located outside at the Swain County Courthouse on Mitchell Street.

Swain Schools now to close for at least 2 weeks

On Saturday evening, NC Governor Roy Cooper announced a statewide closure of all public schools for at least 2 weeks. Prior to the Governor's order, Swain County Board of Education’s emergency meeting on Friday, March 13, with plans to stay open.
