Jessica Webb editor@thesmokymountaintimes.com   Bryson City Town Board of Aldermen took much-anticipated action during their regular meeting Tuesday, Sept. 10, reducing increases that were included in the water and sewer rate structure adopted as part of the 2024-2025 fiscal budget.

Bryson City public works responds to a water issue

On Friday morning, outside of the post office on Mitchell Street in Bryson City, the town public works department could be found responding to a water main break. The response called for a Bobcat, cutting up a section of the sidewalk and digging up lots of mud to get to the line.
