Hawthorn Heights provides lifeline for at-risk youth

Hawthorn Heights WNC is doing far more than providing shelter for teenagers in crisis.“We are more than a shelter — we are a stepping stone to a better future,” said Sarah Loafman, lead youth care worker at Hawthorn Heights.

Swain County Animal Shelter opens
