Larry Scott Cline Sr. entered his heavenly home on November 14, 2016 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his devoted wife Frances Buchanan Cline, daughter Jaime (Scott) Craig and son Larry Scott (Jessica) Cline Jr. He adored his grandchildren: Chelsea (Brian) Jones, Tristen Cheek, Hunter Craig, Zachary Cline, Owen Craig, Karena Cline and Taryn Craig. He is also survived by his sisters Barbara Squires and Sharlene Hedrick and numerous nieces and nephews. Larry was a member of Bryson City Presbyterian Church where he attended services even when he was very ill.

Larry was born on January 3, 1946 in Sylva, NC. He grew up in Bryson City, attending and graduating from Swain County High School. His various work experiences took him to Virginia, Texas, and eventually back to the mountains he loved. He was a devoted father, husband, brother, and Papaw and he lived every moment to the fullest. He loved to ride motorcycles, fish, camp and be outside but his favorite thing in the world was watching his grandchildren. He never missed a sporting event, dance recital, or school activity.

Services were held Wednesday, November 16th at the Bryson City Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Julia Hunt Endowment Fund or PAWS.
