Nova Eugene Stucker Jr.
Nova Eugene Stucker Jr., a mechanical engineer and former Marine, died in his home on June 22, 2018 at the age of 60.
Born December 12, 1957 in St. Paul, Minnesota, Nova moved with his family to Westfield, New Jersey in 1965 and graduated from Westfield High School in 1975. After serving his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1975 until 1979, he attended Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute where he received his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Cum Laude. Nova worked for the US Government Patent Office for several years, receiving a disability retirement in 1995.
Survivors include Nova’s parents, Gene and Dina Stucker of Houston, Texas, sisters Debbie Saridaki of Scotch Plains, New Jersey and Nancy Peirce of Dallas, Texas, nieces Jillian, Michelle, Christine and Rachel and nephews Edward III and James II, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services will be held at 6 PM on Thursday, July 12 at the Crisp Funeral Home, 669 Highway 19 South, Bryson City, North Carolina. Relatives and friends are welcome at the visitation from 5 PM to 6 PM and for the service at 6 PM.
