Devils falls to Smoky Mountain
The Maroon Devils fell to the Smoky Mountain Mustangs on Wednesday, Jan. 24, by a score of 78-63. Although the Devils kept it close through most of the game, they were unable to capture the lead. The Devils trailed by just five points at halftime, but throughout the remainder of the game the Mustangs steadily added to their lead to end the game with a 15-point advantage.
Maroon Devil Seth Parker scored 24 points and had 10 rebounds for his second double-double on the season, and shot eight of eleven on free throws. Zeke Bradley scored ten points and had 11 rebounds for his tenth double double on the season. He also had six assists and four steals.
Gaige Southards had 12 points, including four 3-pointers, three rebounds, four assists, and two steals, and Brier Younce had nine points, including one 3-pointer, eight rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
Jesse Waldroup added four points, including two of two on free throws, eight rebounds, two assists and two steals, and Hunter Call and Jacob Waldroup added two points and two rebounds each.
