It was a good finish for the Devils baseball team at Tuesday night’s home game against the Cherokee Braves. Swain won the game 12-2.

In the first inning, the Devils scored seven runs to Braves one, which gave Swain a big jump to start off. Neither team scored in the 2nd inning and Cherokee put one up on the scoreboard in the third. Swain got another in the 4th and four runs in the 5th inning, ending the game with a double-digit win.

Gabe Lillard, Reese Winchester, Cameron Blankenship, Will Jenkins, Lawson Woodard, Ronnie Griggs, Carson Taylor and Carter Hayes each had a hit each at the game. For runs, Cooper Hyatt, Carson Taylor, and Ronnie Griggs had one run each, Gabe Lillard, Reese Winchester, and Cameron Blankenship at two runs each, and Will Jenkins and Lawson Woodard had three.

The Devils next baseball game will be this Friday at Cherokee.
