Earlier this week Swain hosted the Blue Ridge Bobcats for two varsity matchups, as Blue Ridge did not have a junior varsity team.

The Maroon Devils came out on the court strong and took the lead early in the game ending the first quarter with 19-7.

Swain added an impressive 24 more points in the second quarter to the Bobcat’s 14, going into halftime with 43-21.

The Devils strong lead continued throughout the game and in the final quarter both teams each got 10 points.

Ultimately the Maroon Devils cruised through to a 74-40 win. The Devils are currently ranked 2-1 overall and 1-0 in conference.

Swain’s next game will be next Tuesday at Andrews and the next home game will be next Friday, hosting the Hayesville Yellow Jackets.
