The Devils wrestling teams have had a crazy past week with four events in seven days.

Last week they faced Murphy and Hayesville, winning both matchups, Murphy 66-13 and Hayesville 79-0.

On Friday night at home, the Devils hosted Smoky Mountain and Cherokee where they won both with 51-22 against the Smoky Mountain Mustangs and 84-0 vs the Cherokee Braves.

There was also a JV boys tournament with three placers: Sully Cunningham in 1st, Tanner Moore in 2nd, and Jason Maffett in 4th.

The Lady Devils competed in the Falcon Frenzy over the weekend and had four placers with Savannah Cunningham, Lylah Cogdill, and Annasette Cooper in 2nd and Tynighia Lillard in 3rd.

“We finished 3rd as a team, we didn’t take a full crew into the event and I’m glad with the way we competed and came to wrestle on the weekend. There’s still a lot of work to do, but our girls are showing up everyday and doing the best they can,” Head Coach Adam Jaimez said.
