The Lady Devils beat Owen’s Warlassies for the second time in two consecutive games, winning 2-1 on Friday, April 21.

That came after the 3-2 win they also had over Owen on Monday, April 17.

The game saw numerous pitches from Rylee Rawls delivered like lightning bolts, the Owens players unable to get hits in at all sometimes. Her final score for the day included scattering eight hits, walking two and striking out five. She gave up one unearned run.

Maddie Spates drew a walk in the fourth inning and one out later, so did Haileigh Woodard. Both of them advanced to second and third after a wild pitch soon after. Then, Spates scored on another wild pitch, sending Woodard to third.

Kandyce Crisp singled down the third base line and scored Woodard, which got the Lady Devils to 2-0.

That was the end of the runs they scored at Friday’s game, but it was enough to score them the win.

The Lady Devils also played an away game against Andrews on Tuesday, April 25.
