The Lady Devils are entering a rebuilding season after losing nine seniors last year, but the team is ready to put in the work.
“This year, after losing nine seniors, we know we are in a rebuilding year, but this team is ready to work hard,” said Kyndall Cochran, coach. “They are willing to put in the extra work and make more time for soccer, while many of these girls are still balancing other sports.”
Despite the loss of a large senior class, the Lady Devils return a determined group focused on growth. Seniors Audrey Monteith and Elli Norton will provide leadership on and off the field, guiding a roster with many younger players stepping into bigger roles.
The junior class brings experience and depth, including Madison Blankenship, Natasha Bentley, Julianna Meraz-Quijada, Khloe French, Heidi Ammann, Erica Moore, Chloe Kent, Addison Blankenship, Marie Stoltzfus and Jany Echeverria. They are expected to anchor the lineup and support the seniors.
Sophomores Kyndall Norton, Claire Ball, McKena Marple and Maddie Crisp will continue developing across multiple positions.
The freshman class adds energy and depth, with key players including Khloe Chapman, Rio Helpman, Caroline Freshour, Maddison Mashburn, Tessa Philips, Maddie Izquierdo and Betsy Marley. Several players are expected to rotate between defense, midfield and attack, providing flexibility. Goalkeeping duties will be shared by Khloe Chapman and Tessa Philips.
“Our goal is to get better every single day,” Cochran said. “If we stay focused on the process and continue putting in the work, this group has the potential to grow together and compete.”
