Lady Devils softball falls to Rosman, Murphy

On March 10, the Lady Devils softball team traveled to Rosman.

The Rosman Tigers began the scoring in the 2nd inning with four points and continued the scoring throughout the 3rd.

The Devils got two points in the 4th inning, which was answered by two from Rosman in the 5th. Swain made an attempt to come back in the 6th, but the Tigers were just too far ahead. The game ended with a 10-4 win for Rosman.

The Lady Devils had four hits and 3 errors for the game.

For individual players, Savana Smith got two runs, while Faith Woodard and Hannah Shuler had one each. Savana Smith, Faith Woodard, and Halleigh Woodard each had one run batted in.

Last week, Swain traveled to Murphy for an unfortunate loss of 9-2.

Kiersten Smith and Kandyce Crisp each had one run, and Savana Smith had one stolen base. The Lady Devils played Tuesday at home against Hiwassee Dam and will play Friday at Hiwassee Dam.
