Several PRs

“Saturday was a great meet, both of our teams came in first,” Coach Keith Payne said. “Our girls team is super strong and the boys team had a lot of personal records!”

Coach Payne said the team would be running at Deep Creek this week to prepare for the Murphy meet on Saturday followed by some big upcoming competitions.

“In the next few weeks, the top 7 or 8 runners will compete in Charlotte and the top 10 in Kernersville and these meets will determine who’s going to regionals and conference,” Coach Payne said.

The rivalry between Swain and Cherokee continues to run strong as they stay neck and neck in competition. Coach Payne said that both Swain and Cherokee want to win and the tight competitions are good for both teams, because they continue to push each other.
