Swain track competes at Robbinsville

Last Wednesday, the Devils track team traveled to Robbinsville for a meet against Robbinsville, Hayesville and Cherokee.

Maroon Devils results

For the 100-meter, dash Gabe Lillard was 4th with 12.01, Gavin Lanning 5th with 12.15, Jackson Pittard 10th with 12.74 and for the 200 -meter, dash Cooper Hyatt was 2nd with 24.19, Josiah Claspie 3rd with 24.24, and Keyanthae Graham 6th with 12.74. For the 400-meter, Kane Jones was 2nd with 55.24, Daniel Nations 3rd with 58.34, Reese Winchester 6th with 59.62, and Sawyer Cochran 7th with 1:00.76. In the 800-meter, Connor Lambert was 1st with 2:17.88 and Cameron Blankenship 5th with 2:28.13. In the 1600-meter, run Corey Wolf was 6th with 5:30.35, Max Wilmot 11th with 6:14.38, and Kory Ledford 14th with 6:54.07. In the 3200 Connor Brown was 1st with 10:44.07 and Abhi Patel was 3rd with 11:52.90.

For 300-meter, hurdles Josiah Glaspie was 2nd with 47.75, followed by Jackson Pittard in 3rd with 49.64, Darius Saunooke in 4th with 50.33, and James Arch in 5th with 51.73. Swain was 1st in the 4x100 relay with 47.02, 2nd in the 4x200 1:36.66, 2nd in the 4x400 with 3:50.74, and 1st in the 4x800 with 9:04.02.

For high jump, Dawson Cody was 4th and in Long Jump Dawson Cody was 6th, Darius Saunooke 7th, Noah Rowe 9th, and Shawan Durham 11th. For triple jump Dawson Cody was 1st, Josh Collins 3rd, Isaiah Collins 4th, and Noah Rowe 9th. In pole vault Matthew Gray was 1st and Owen Craig 2nd.

For discus, Nathan Bogdanowics was 4th, Braylon James 5th, Ben Payne 7th, Brandon Frost 9th, and Braylon Aldridge 16th. Isaiah Collins was 3rd in shot put, followed by Carson Taylor in 5th, Nathan Bogdanowicz in 10th, Conner Driver in 14th, and Braylon Aldridge in 16th.

Lady Devils results

For the 100-meter dash, Allie Gibson was 2nd with 14.11, Amelia Clough was third with 14.23, Kiersten Smith 5th, with 14.47, and Cora Watkins 6th with 14.48.  In the 200-meter dash Laiken Harvey was 4th with 29.52, Alden Thomas 7th, 31.04, Hannah Wingate 8th with 31.60, and Allie Gibson 10th with 32.72. In the 400-meter dash Sienna Hackshaw was 2nd with 1:05.40, Arizona Blankenship was 4th with 1:08.08 and for the 800-meter run Amaya Hicks was 1st with 2:37.51, and Josephine Parsons was 5th with 3:21.15.

In the 1600-meter run, Josephine Parsons was 4th with 7.26.52 and for the 3200-meter Arizona Blankenship was 1st with 11:57.88.

For 100-meter hurdles, Birana Ridanpa was 2nd with 19.47, Melani Linton was 3rd with 19.55 and Mya Burrows-Kurr was 4th with 19.93. In the 300-meter hurdles Mya Burrows-Kurr was 2nd with 54.35, Melani Linton 3rd with 54.60, Mazie Helpman 4th with 55.88, Briana Ridanpa 5th with 55.96, and Ameia Roger in 6th with 57.39.

For the 4x 100 meter relay the Lady Devils were 2nd with 56.50, for 4x200 2nd with 1:52.56, and for 4x400 1st with 4:30.85, and 1st in the 4x800 relay with 10:34.38.

For high jump Julie Smith was 1st, Erika Wachaha 2nd, and Lindley Wyatt 4th. For long jump Isabella Walker was 5th, Amelia Clough 6th, Naomi Feagin 7th and for triple jump Isabella Walker was 3rd, Kiersten Smith 4th, and Cora Watkins 5th. In pole vault Amelia Rogers was 1st, Laiken Harvey 2nd, Alden Thomas 2nd, and Hannah Wingate 4th. For discus, Hannah Brown was 6th, Emma McCoy 7th, Annasette Cooper 9th, Kaiya Vestal 14th, and Layla Alonzo 18th and for shot put Savana Smith was 2nd, Emmy Everhardt 11th, Emma McCoy 12th, Kaiya Vestal 13th, Annasette Cooper 15th, Hannah Brown 16th, and Layla Alonzo 17th.
