Mark’s Pharmacy opened the doors to its third location where Bryson City Pharmacy once operated at Valley Village Shopping Center Monday morning.
Pharmacist Ameer Adam said business was slow to start but transfers soon flooded in from Sylva and other locations to include chain pharmacies.
“Every person is saying how excited and glad they are that we are here,” said Adam.
Adam is the son of Mark Adam and brother to Faisal Adam. Adam’s dad runs the Waynesville pharmacy location, while his brother runs the Sylva pharmacy location.
“We felt like Bryson City needed a pharmacy,” Adam said.
The Bryson City location is roughly 2,200 square feet to include retail, dispensing prescriptions, compounding, over-the-counter medications, health consultations, pill packaging for nursing and assisted living homes, long term care services and more.
“I can get meds ready in 10 minutes,” Adam said. “Usually, I can purchase meds and get them the next day.”
Adam wanted to welcome everyone to Mark’s Pharmacy.
“We offer patient centered care that is quick and efficient,” Adam said. “We treat everyone like family. Come join our family.”
Mark’s Pharmacy in Bryson City is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9-3 p.m.
