Donald (Don) William Clough, 82 of Bryson City, NC passed away peacefully on September 10, 2022 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC with his family by his side. He was born October 24, 1939 in Norristown Pennsylvania to Oscar and Eva Clough.

Don was the youngest of 6 kids, all who proceeded him in death. His family moved to Hialeah Florida when he was 9 months old. He lived in Florida until he moved to Bryson City in 1976 where he owned and operated Ye Olde Cabinet Shop and Mini Storage for 40 years.

Don was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching his grandkids play ball and was an Atlanta Braves and Miami Dolphins Fan.

Don was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a very caring person and would help anyone he could. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He was survived by his wife of 59 years Joanne Clough; his 3 children Debbie (Jimmy) Ammons, Donna (Ronnie) Griggs and Donnie Clough all of Bryson City. He has 7 grandchildren, Megan (Jake) Buchanan, Daniel Ammons, Stacey, Ronnie, and Nolan Griggs, Amelia and Karalyn Clough, and 1 great grandchild, Levi Buchanan.

Funeral services were held 2:00 PM Thursday at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Travis Watkins officiated with burial at Sawmill Hill Cemetery.

The family received friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Griggs, Jimmy Ammons, Ronnie Griggs, Daniel Ammons, Nolan Griggs, Jake Buchanan, John Esasky, and Hershel Hyatt.
