Mark Postell, 49, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Thursday, October 27, 2022. A native of Swain County, he was the son of Harold Postell and his wife Tweety of Red Marble, and the late Joann Parton. In addition to his mother, he is also preceded in death by his grandmother, Marcylean Campbell.
Mark is survived by a special step-father, who raised him his entire life, Danny Parton; his wife, April Postell; his children, Brittany Carpenter, Anna Cochran (Bart), Taysia Waldroup (Ricky), Dabrina Bryson (Justin), Hannah Lewis (Jacob), Gracye Burchfield, and Emma Postell; his grandchildren, Dianna Cochran, Raylynn Waldroup, Mckayla Waldroup, Landon Waldroup, Levi Bryson, Jordan Lewis, and Ezra Lewis, and his sisters, Elizabeth “Liz” Woods (Randy), and Missy Jenkins (Taython), and his grandfather, Joe “Pops” Campbell.
A celebration of Mark’s life was held 5:00 PM Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Hightower Baptist Church. Revs. Shane Silvers, Sam McMahan, and Ricky Waldroup officiated.
