Donna Branton Loftis, 70, of Bryson City, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday evening, October 21, 2022 following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Donna was predeceased by her parents, Ray and Shorty Branton.
Left to cherish Donna’s memory is her husband of 44 years, Dean Loftis; son Branton and wife Lisa; she was “Nonna” to five beautiful grandchildren, Abbey, Savannah, James, Charleigh, and Judson, all of Bryson City. Two sisters, Sharon Ensley of Fletcher and Shirley Branton-Crisp of Bryson City. Two nieces, Dawn Ross (Don) of Easley, SC and Danita Ensley of Sneads Ferry, NC; several cousins and extended family members and friends, all of whom she loved dearly.
In accordance with Donna’s wishes, there will not be a traditional service.
The family is honored to host a Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 5 at 1pm, Bryson City Church of God. Friends will be received an hour prior. Pastor P.D. Hampton will officiate.
