Dora Pearl Christine Southards Greene born July 9, 1930 to the late Harvey and Laura Breedlove Southards, passed away Wednesday July 29, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years John Buel Greene, great grandson Ryan Braxton George, sisters Fay Cochran, and Birdell Southards, and brothers Arnold and Aaron Southards.
Surviving are her children Bernice (Howard) Frady, Austin (Joyce) Greene, and Renee (Chris) Parris, 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to say Thank you to Mountain View Manor for the love and care given to their mom for the last 9 years.
A graveside service was held 2:00 PM Friday at Brendle Hill Cemetery. Pastors Tim Barker and Linda Wike officiated.
Honorary pallbearers were Varnel Cochran, Raymond Cochran, Mike Cochran, Curtis Cochran, Andre Gunter, Gary Gunter, Johnny Southards, and Edward Greene.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brendle Hill Cemetery Fund in care of Alarka Baptist Church 3407 Alarka Rd. Bryson City, NC 28713.
