Jeanne Moore Keller, of Tuckasegee, NC passed away Saturday, March 6, 2022 at the age of 95 after a long illness.

She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother and Friend who will be missed by many.

Born in Exeter, Nebraska on February 1, 1927, she attended the University of Nebraska and majored in Art. She married and moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where she worked as a dog groomer for many years. When she found her way to Western NC, she focused on her love for artwork becoming a wonderful painter in addition to learning and mastering several other crafts.

She was a founding member of the Blue Ridge Arts and Crafters Association as well as taught basket weaving and knitting in Haywood and Swain counties.

She was preceded in death by her parents Glena and Lesley Moore, first husband Richard Ferren, second husband James Keller, son Douglas Ferren, son Buddy Keller and daughter Marvel Metzger.

She is survived by Sons Daniel Ferren, Jody Keller, David Ferren his wife Tina Ferren, as well as 9 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Children.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 26, in Bryson City at Bryson City United Methodist Church, 76 Main St, Bryson City, NC 28713.  Visitation begins at 10:00am followed by a memorial service at 11:00am. After which she will be interred at Western Carolina State Veteran Cemetery next to her beloved second Husband James Keller.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Knitter’s Club of Bryson City or Woman’s Auxiliary in care of Bryson City United Methodist Church N.C.

She will be forever loved and forever missed.
