Bryson City – Vernie Franklin “Frank” Taylor, age 61, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022.

Frank was born June 12, 1961 in Bluefield, WV to the late Cecil Taylor and the late Hazel Acers Taylor.

He had made his home in Cherokee and Bryson City for most of his life, and was employed at McDonald’s for over 10 years where he was known as the “Biscuit Maker.” Frank enjoyed all types of music and liked practicing his skills with nunchucks. He would ride his “too tall” bike around town, which passersby easily noticed, and he was also talented at working and repairing his bikes. Mr. Taylor attended Bryson City Church of God. He will be deeply missed.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his son, Franklin Smith; and his infant daughter, Danielle.

Surviving are his former wife and mother of his children, Crystal Sullivan; his children, Harley Taylor, Tyler Taylor, Destiny Taylor, Chasity Taylor, Alexis Carringer, Jasmine Tucker, Robert Tittman, and Jessica Cooper; sisters, Beth Taylor, and Fran Taylor; brothers, Cecil Taylor, Jr., and Joe Taylor; 14 grandchildren; and his close friend, Kathleen Burns.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
