William Roy Smith

William Roy Smith 80, known to everyone as “Sonny” went home to be with the Lord December 26 2021.

He was the son of the late Nath and Hazel Smith. He was preceded in death by his wife Rhonda and a brother Tim Smith. He was a member of East Alarka Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughters Carrie Winchester, Sherri Green and husband Charlie, Lisa Sampson and husband Rocky. 6 grandchildren Billy Roland (Carolyn), Ercell Green (Katie), Eric Green (Elizabeth), Amanda Tabor, Matthew Tabor, and Jake Buchanan (Megan). 7 great grandchildren Avery, Mack, Logan, Riley, Peyton, Ava and Kairi. Brother Charles Smith and sisters Linda Jenkins(Carl), and Wanda Roland.

Funeral services were Tuesday, December 28 visitation 12pm with services beginning at 1pm at True Gospel Baptist Church. Roger Roland officiated. Burial was at Brendle Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Adam Smith, Brian Jenkins, Dennis Smith, David Smith, Logan Green, and Mack Green.
