Maroon Devils will send six to state

The Maroon Devil wrestlers showed out this past weekend at the Western Regional Individual Championships.

All total six Swain wrestlers qualified for next weekends NCHSAA State Championships.  Because of their strong showing, Swain finished 2nd as a team at the Individual Championships.

Jonas Trejo was the Western Regional Champion in the 128 pound weight class.  Nate Brock (140) and Cody Long (182) finished as Western Regional Runner-up.

Hunter Craig finished 3rd in the 154 pound class, while Lucas Brown (147) and John Parton (115) both were 4th.

NCHSAA State Championships will begin on Friday.
