Andrews – The Wildcats used a strong start and then held off the Swain County High School Maroon Devils boys varsity basketball team to take a 88-74 conference win on Friday. Andrews outscored Swain 29-19 over the first 8 minutes and then made that lead hold up for the rest of the game. Swain shot 34% from the floor for the game, including hitting only 4 of 17 from deep.
Judaiah Littlejohn paced Swain with a game high 28 points. Littlejohn made good on 15 of 17 free throws to go with 10 rebounds and 3 assists. Donnavin Groenewold finished with 21 points, while Nick Millsaps added 12.
The Maroon Devils will host Hayesville on Friday night for a conference match.
