Carolyn Carson Bowers Hyde Newman, 81, of Asheville passed away on September 5, 2021 at Aston Park Health Care Center. She was the daughter of the late Roy M. Carson and Emma V. Carson. She was also preceded in death by three loving husbands, Daniel Thurman Bowers, Jr., Paul James Hyde and Gary Duane Newman.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30am on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Swain Memorial Cemetery with Terri Bowers and Joe Hoffman officiating. If you wish to send flowers, Crisp Funeral Home, 669 US-19, Bryson City, NC 28713 is assisting the family with graveside services.
Carolyn lived a color-filled life and surrounded herself with vibrant colors and textures. If you wish, on the day of her celebration wear your favorite color in her memory. Our intent is to celebrate her life even in our mourning.
After the graveside service, all are invited to join the family for a celebration of Carolyn’s life under the Pavilion at Deep Creek Park. Please bring a potluck dish to share and a chair or blanket on which to sit. We request that all respectfully embrace that we are meeting during a Covid pandemic and take precautions as necessary to prevent the spread of this disease.
