June Smith Cochran, 73, of the Alarka Community was welcomed into Heaven on June 19, 2020.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, Jumaw, and great-Jumaw.  She was a friend to many and served her Lord with enthusiasm and joy.  She was faithful to her husband, family and her Lord.

She retired from Ingles after 38 years of service.  She loved working with the public and was a joy to many.

She and Max served many years working to build churches and congregations.  She loved to sing and was a talented alto singer.  Her love of singing will live on through her family.

She will be missed by her family so much.  Heaven got a little sweeter and one day there will be a great reunion.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Jack and Neil Smith and her father and mother-in-law, Roy and Juanita Cochran.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Rev. Max Cochran, two daughters, Katrina Turbyfill (Andy) and Kim Hermes (David), four grandchildren, Jared Turbyfill (Heather), Ashton Green (Morgan), Chase Cochran (Kendra) and Kyndall Cochran.  Her great grandbaby Emmitt Green.  She is also survived by sisters Shirly Clontz (Frank), Judy Morgan (Andy), and brothers Bill Smith and Bob Smith (Betty).  Her brother and sister-in-laws are Peggy Brendle (Fred), Curtis Cochran (Lynn), Connie Crisp and Shelia Bowers (Ronnie).  She loved all her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Services was held at East Alarka Baptist Church on Sunday, June 21.

Visitation was held from 4:00-6:00 and the funeral was held at 6:00 PM.  Officiating the funeral was Rev. Eugene Moore and Rev. Bobby Cloer.  Pall bearers were Trent Crisp, Lane Crisp, Tony Cochran, Travis Cochran, Matthew Cochran, Drew Bowers and Brett Smith.
