On Saturday, May 21st, 2022 Matthew Jason Stilwell of Henrietta, NC passed away unexpectedly.
Matthew was an avid music lover, family man and proud father. His laughter brought a bright light to the world. He will be greatly missed.
Matthew is the son of Richard E Stilwell of Cucumber, W. VA and is preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Ball Stilwell.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Tara Stilwell of Henrietta, NC; a son, Corey Xavier Stilwell of Bryson City, NC; stepsons A.J. Coffey and James Coffey II, of Columbus, and Ephraim Coffey and Conway Coffey of Henrietta; a stepdaughter, Allenya Coffey of Henrietta; brothers, Richard E Stilwell II of Shelby, NC; Billy Stilwell of Kings Mountain, NC; sisters, Jennifer S Hewitt and husband Brandon of Bryson City, NC; Shelby Stilwell of Kings Mountain, NC; his niece Zoe Stilwell; nephews Colin, Miles & Jack Stilwell of Shelby, NC; Uncles Steve & Mark Ball, Dean, Johnny & Ralph Stilwell; Aunts, Renee Stilwell; Patsy Davis; special life long friends, Misty Brooks Owle & Dona Arrowood; brothers Bobby J Kirkland, Sam Donovan, Michael Whaley, Jay Wright, Bill Douthit, Danny Maney & Tommy Mehle; he leaves behind many cousins and friends.
