Robert (Bob) Marion Davis of Gainesville, Ga., passed away on August 10, 2022. Bob was born to Gus and Maude Davis on April 15, 1933, in Dunedin, FL.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of forty-nine years, Bobbie Davis, and his daughters, Debbie Price and Cindy Yelton.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Robert “Jeff” and Diane Davis; grandchildren, Amber (Steven) Dimitrijevich, Leah (Daryl) Butler, Brook Kondor, Zach (Maggie) Yelton, Katie Beth (Justin) Thompson, Adam (Emily) Davis, and Jacob Davis; great grandchildren, Nico and Daniel Dimitrijevich, Mason and Autumn Butler, Napp, Keyla and Sally Yelton, Leyla and Sarah Dubs-Yelton, and Taylor Ann, Mackenzie, Ty and Henry Thompson.
Bob graduated from the University of Florida with a master’s degree in animal sciences and was a County Extension Agent with the University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Animal Services. He retired in May 1990.
The family will be holding a private celebration of life in September.
