Sandra Mae Howell, 75, of Bryson City went home to Heaven on Friday, January 22, 2021.
She was born at Angel Hospital to the late William Cowan Wikle and Edna Maney Wikle. They lived at Smokemont, NC until it was annexed into the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. At the age of 4, her family relocated to the Lauada community of Swain County.
Sandra was married for 52 years to Retired Air Force MSgt Jerry Howell. They lived in numerous locations around the country until retiring in NC to the Lauada community.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Chad Allen Howell. She is survived by her husband, Jerry, and two children; Karie Lanning and husband Mark of Candler, Ben Howell and wife Krystal of Bryson City. She was a blessing to five grandchildren.

Funeral services took place Tuesday, January 26th, at Crisp Funeral Home and Swain Memorial Park.
