Thomas Brownlow Parton (Buck), 86, of Whittier, NC passed away on September 7, 2020.
He was born in Swain County on July 4, 1934 to the late Woodrow and Verna Mae Parton.
He is survived by his loving wife of eighteen years, Alex Parton. Parton believed in God and loved Him very much. Buck graduated Swain High School in 1952. He then attended Western Carolina University where he was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. Buck loved boating traveling, reading, and laughing. Buck was an all-around great guy and will be missed greatly by all of those who knew him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving daughter, Jennifer Parton Zeavin; grandson, Nathaniel Thomas Zeavin; one sister Niki Elaine Parton Duckett (Charlie); one brother John S. Parton Esq.; two nieces, Julie Nichols (Travis) and Nikki Herron and one nephew, Woody Parton (Denise).
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, James L. Parton (Peggy) and Walter T. Parton; paternal grandparents Walter and Martha Teague Parton and maternal grandparents Thomas and Mae Payne Burns.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
