TDA sets budget hearing

Jessica Webb editor@thesmokymountaintimes.com   Swain County Tourism and Development Authority has set a public hearing for its 2022-2023 fiscal year budget to take place Wednesday, June 22 at noon at the Swain County Administration Building.

Bryson City Fire Department finally has new fire truck

Bryson City Fire Department has been waiting on a new fire truck for about 18 months, since they ordered it around August of 2020. Atlantic Emergency Solutions received the winning bid for the order, but due to supply chain issues, Bryson City Fire Department just received the truck this week.

Rising prices affecting local food relief programs
