When Michael DeHart moved from Bradford, Ohio to Bryson City five years ago, he brought 30 years of professional coaching experience to the local wrestling community.

Take Down Cancer Benefit raises $2,600

U.S. Army Vet. Graham Allen, owner of Appalachia Training Center, organized a Take Down Cancer Benefit at Appalachia Training Center to raise approximately $2,600 for three-year-old Lexi Ellis of Cullowhee Saturday.

Perfect 12-0 mark in Smoky Mountain Conference

Scott Cline Swain High Soccer   The Lady Devils soccer team hosted the Bethany Community School Wolves on Thursday night, May 15, in the second round of the NCHSAA playoffs. The Wolves struck first, capitalizing on a gap in the Lady Devils’ defense to score 15 minutes into the match.

Devils dominate Smoky Mountain Conference Championships

Scott Cline Swain High Soccer   Lady Devils soccer are champions of the Smoky Mountain Conference. Entering the last days of April, Swain was the SMC’s team to beat, boasting a 9-0 record with three conference games to play.
