Larry Griffin lgriffin@thesmokymountaintimes.com   The Maroon and Lady Devils basketball teams squared off against the Robbinsville Black Knights and Lady Black Knights in a pair of games Friday night, Feb. 9, which saw the Lady Devils losing a tough match 76-67.
The Lady Devils and the Maroon Devils indoor track teams are the Smoky Mountain Conference Champions after both the girls and boys teams earned far and above the competition at the meet held at Swain County High School last Wednesday. The teams are headed to the NCHSAA state championships this weekend.
