Max Wayland Monteith Jr.

Max Wayland Monteith Jr, 63 of Dunedin Florida and Cherokee North Carolina, passed away November 9that his home in Dunedin Florida, following a 4 year battle with cancer with his loved ones by his side. He was a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indian and was buried at his family’s cemetery.

Christina Marie Nuedling Hudson

Christina Marie Nuedling Hudson, 54, of Bryson City passed away Tuesday November 15, 2022. A longtime resident of Bryson City, she was the daughter of the late Albert Francis Nuedling and Joyce Gail York Nuedling. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter Amanda Wyatt.

Kobe Gavin Toineeta

Kobe Gavin Toineeta, 25, of the Birdtown Community entered his eternal home on Friday, November 11, 2022. Kobe was a 2015 graduate of Swain County High School and will forever be remembered as an old soul who never met a stranger.

Bill Oliver, 71, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Sunday, November 13, 2022. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Grover and Irene Lindsay Oliver. He attended Midway Baptist Church.

Gail Lynne Plotner

Gail Lynne Plotner, 73, of Bryson City, NC passed away unexpectedly November 5, 2022 at her residence. A native of Decatur, IL, she was the daughter of the late Guy Landers and Patricia Bergschneider Landers.

Nancy Lee Johnson

Nancy Lee Johnson, 65, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 10, 2022. She attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Marion Mattele Koziol; sister, Pamela; and grandmother, Julia Koziol.

Ireta Egbert Bradley, 81, passed peacefully into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, North Carolina. Ireta was born on May 26, 1941, in Rexburg, Idaho.

James (Jamie) Rickey Waldroup

(February 13, 1964 -- November 9, 2022)   Jamie Waldroup, age 58, passed away on November 9, 2022 following an extended period of declining health. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late George C. Waldroup and Glenna Burns Waldroup.
