Linda “Lulu” Marie Toney, 35 of Canton, North Carolina made her final journey home to be with the Lord on September 26th, 2021. She is the daughter of Kattie and Charlie Walker and the late Ronald Toney.

Glenda Ann Robertson Cochran entered her Heavenly Home on September 24, 2021 to be with her Loving Savior, Jesus Christ and many family members and friends. Ann was born in Murphy, NC on July 10, 1946 to Rev Jesse and Nora Ivester Robertson.

Earl Wayne Fortner, 75, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Saturday, September 25, 2021. A native of Swain County he was the son of the late Johnnie H. Fortner Sr. and Nellie Cochran Fortner.

Allene Williamson, 85, of the Laurel Branch community went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 22, 2021. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Grady and Lillian Howard Payne and wife of the late Ralph Williamson.

Arthur Wade, 74, of Whittier went home to be with the Lord Thursday, September 16, 2021. He was the son of the late Anderson and Ina Tubby Wade. He was a US Army Veteran having served in Vietnam and received three Purple Hearts. Arthur was a member of Mt.

Raymond Ernest “Ernie” Grant, age 54, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, September 9, 2021. Ernie was a larger-than-life, fun character and was indeed one-of-a-kind! He had deep insight into many topics and was a wonderful person to rely on for great advice.

Ms. Sarah Ann DeAlto, age 57, of Bryson City, North Carolina, passed away Monday, September 6, 2021 at Newport Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her father, grandmother and brother. Survivors include her beloved companion, Ron Bish; his children Ron Bish, Jr.

John L. Mattox

John L. Mattox, 64, died January 29, 2021 at his home in Bryson City after a lengthy illness. John was born in Memphis, TN to John and Rebecca Williams Mattox. The family relocated to Bryson City in 1970.
