Dillard James Day

Dillard James Day, 79, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Saturday, May 8, 2021. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late William and Ora May Morgan Day. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. He was a deacon at several churches in Swain County since 1980.

Carroll Vance Ball

Carroll Vance Ball, 78, of Dallas, NC, formerly of Milton Freewater, Oregon and Bryson City, NC, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 9th, 2021. Carroll was a lifelong logger in the logging industry and loved his family along with Bluegrass music.

Buddy Lee Parris

Buddy Lee Parris, 70, of Whittier went home to be with the Lord Saturday, May 1, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Gladys Parris; wife of 37 years, Barbara Parris; and son, Robert Parris. He was a member of the Qualla Fire Department for 26 years.

Jimmy Nathan Williams

Jimmy Nathan Williams, 27, of Bryson City, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, May 1, 2021. A native of Hogansville, GA and longtime resident of Bryson City he was the son of the late Jimmy and Donna Williams.

Kristin Nanciann Martin

Kristin Nanciann Martin, 76 of Whittier, passed away on April 17, 2021.  Mrs. Martin was born on January 3, 1945 in Eden, North Carolina, to the late Reverend Deemus and Gladys Pulliam. After graduating Swain County High School she attended Oakland University and pursued several interests.

Dr. Jean Daniel (JD) Pointet

Dr. Jean Daniel (JD) Pointet   Dr. Jean Daniel (JD) Pointet, 79, left this earthly plane on April 19, 2021 after a short battle with cancer at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.  He was of Protestant faith, baptized in an Anglican Chapel in Wengen, Switzerland.

Ray Jones

Ray Jones, 79, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 20, 2021. A native of Swain County he was the son of the late Carl Ray and Nannie Bailey Jones. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Emma Jean Jones, and a sister, Betty Jean LeQuire.

Eva Gail Jones Thayer

Eva Gail Jones Thayer of Charlotte, North Carolina, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 16, 2021 at Atrium Hospital in Pineville, NC. Gail was born on November 13, 1949 in Bryson City, NC.

Frances (Pat) Colville

Bryson City— Frances Lowery (Pat) Colville, age 72, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, James Lowery Colville and Frances Armitage Colville.
