Burlin J. Carpenter

Burlin J. Carpenter, age 86, son of Clay and Mary Farley Carpenter, passed away Monday June 21st 2021 at his residence. He was born November 8, 1934 in Robbinsville where he grew up. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Ivan Heyser and Fletcher Carpenter.

Sallie Woods Rogers

Sallie Woods Rogers, age 103 years old, of Bryson City NC, entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 17th 2021. The family received friends on Wednesday, June 23rd at 11:00 at Crisp Funeral Home. A celebration of life service followed in the chapel at 1:00.

Christopher Eugene Ball

A memorial service was held for Christopher Eugene Ball on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Lauada Cemetery. He passed away in Charlotte’s Atrium Hospital on January 4, 2021 from a sudden illness. Chris was a resident of Salisbury, NC for the past 33 years.

David Nobriga

David Nobriga, passed away in his sleep on June 7, 2021.   He was born on June 22, 1958  to Mildred Pacheco (Nobriga) Fernandez in Hilo, Hawaii.    He is survived by his wife Brandi Nobriga and her children Hunter Corbin, Cheyanne Corbin and Takoda Rogers.

Frankie Ball

Frankie Ball, 84, of Bryson City went to be with the Lord on June 16, 2021. Mrs. Ball was born on July 26, 1936 in Graham County, NC to the late Wayne and Evia Holder. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church.

Emily Walkingstick West

Emily Walkingstick West, 81, of Cherokee passed away June 17, 2021. Emily was the daughter of the late Johnny and Emma Walkingstick. She is preceded in death by her husband Norman West, daughter, Donna West Welch and her brother Daniel Walkingstick.

Jason Gary Webb

Jason Gary Webb, 42, of the Coopers Creek Community went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. Jason was born in Michigan but the Mountains drew him home to Bryson City, NC in 2009. He was the son of Jack H.

David Lee Brookshire

David Lee Brookshire (D.O.B. May 16, 1970), a longtime resident of Bryson City, passed away May 13, 2021 due to a severe brain injury.

James Michael Gibson

James Michael Gibson, 60, of the Lauada Community in Bryson City, NC, went to heaven to be with his Lord and Savior on May 14, 2021. Mike was a loved and active member of his church and community. He was strong in his faith and was a longtime member of Deep Creek Baptist Church.

Mitch Edmonds

Mitch Edmonds, 60, was called to be with the Lord on June 1, 2021, while surrounded by family at his home in Winston-Salem, NC. No service has been planned at this time. Salem Funeral & Cremation Services, www.salefh.com, is serving the Edmonds family.
