Swain competes in first outdoor track meet of the season

Lady Devils bucked by Mustangs but outpace Mountaineers

The Swain County High School Lady Devils soccer team was on the road for two games this week, first traveling to Sylva Thursday to take on the 3A Smoky Mountain Lady Mustangs team. Then, Tuesday the team traveled to Tuscola to take on the 3A Lady Mountaineers.

Swain High School Golf team wins first match of the season

The Swain High golf team started the season on Tuesday, March 1 at Sequoyah National in Cherokee. Leading the charge was senior Joe Eagleman firing a +4 round of 40. This performance earned him individual medalist for the tournament.

Lady Devils soccer on fire with 6-0 season opener

The Lady Devils soccer team kicked off their season on Monday night by hosting the 3A Franklin Panthers. Going into the game, the Devils had never beaten the Panthers.

Lady Devils battle it out against Uwharrie in 2nd round

Last Thursday, the Lady Devils traveled to Uwharrie Charter in Asheboro, for the second round of the state playoffs. The entire game was a tough fight, and Swain was behind 11 points in the final quarter of the game but kicked it into overdrive to make an incredible comeback.
