For the first time in more than a year, Swain baseball took to the diamond for live action. With fully charged bats and pitching arms, the Devils blitzed to a 1-0 record to open the season, topping Cherokee 11-0 on the road on Friday.

The Lady Devils soccer team traveled to Davidson to take on the Community School of Davidson Spartans on Monday night to open up the NCHSAA playoffs. The Davidson Charter School came into the game ranked number 1 at the 1A level in the state and undefeated.

The Lady Devils varsity soccer team traveled to Hayesville to take on the Yellow Jackets on Wednesday afternoon. Six minutes into the game Emily Ulaner would findKaylee Simmons for her first goal of the game. Halfway through the first half,  Audrey Zelenka would find Isabelle Green for a goal.

Swain says goodbye to seniors with 11-0 blowout

It only took one half of play for Swain girls’ soccer to notch 11 goals and seal a senior night victory over Cherokee on Monday. It was the final home game for Isabelle Green, Kate Poss, and goalie Maddie Lay. Poss and Green, playing in her first regular season game of the season, both scored goals.
