Juanita Thomasson Webb, 95, born September 22, 1926 in the Coopers Creek Community went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 9, 2022. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late James Irvin and Lola Nations Thomasson.

Marjorie (Pete) Gibson

Marjorie (Pete) Gibson, 82, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Saturday, February 5, 2022. A native of Swain County she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Essie Smiley. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, James Michael Gibson.

Gerald “Jerry” Dale Roddenberry Sr.

Gerald “Jerry” Dale Roddenberry Sr., 60, of Bryson City, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022 at UNC Health-Blueridge in Morganton. He was born in Charleston, SC on May 7, 1961 to Robert and Geneste Frances Weaver Roddenberry. Jerry worked as a concrete finisher and was of the Christian faith.

Rev. “Jim” Roger Lee Frady, 71, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Sunday, February 6, 2022. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Ause and Ima Gene Hicks Frady. He preached at several churches in Bryson City and Cherokee and was the pastor of Mt.

Lyle “Brent” Thomas

Lyle “Brent” Thomas went home to be with his Heavenly Father on February 1, 2022. A native of Bryson City, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patsy Crisp Thomas; great grandson, Bryce Aaron Crisp; son, Windell Joe Crisp; and brother-in-law, Vance Greene, Jr.

Albert “Jackie” Bowman
