April Dawn Sandlin, 55, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord on Sunday January 30, 2022. A native of Swain County she was the daughter of Linda Cathleen Sutton Sandlin of Bryson City and the late Harold Tom Sandlin.

Tommy Carver

Tommy Carver, age 61, a native of Robbinsville, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, following complications from cardiac arrest. Tommy was a strong believer in Jesus Christ and strengthened his faith by enrolling and completing many Bible courses throughout the last 20 years.

Sarah Catherine (Cathy) Crisp Wiggins

Sarah Catherine (Cathy) Crisp Wiggins, 68, of Bryson City, NC, went home to be with the Lord Jan. 28, 2022, after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Buell M. and Janet (McLendon) Crisp and brother, Thomas McCormick Crisp and sister-in-law, Treska Hatton Crisp.

Ellen Kilgannon

Bryson City, Ellen Kilgannon, age 61, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at a friend’s home, surrounded by love, following a battle with pancreatic cancer.

  Connie Martin, 64, of Bryson City, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022. A native and lifelong resident of Swain County, she is survived by her 3 Sons; Jeremiah Martin, Jason Woodard and Raymond Bard.

Ellen Kilgannon

Bryson City—Ellen Kilgannon, age 61, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at a friend’s home. A native of New Jersey and a Swain County resident since 1988.  She was a daughter of the late William and Lorraine Rey Kilgannon.

Linda Sue Holden Lindsay

Linda Sue Holden Lindsay, 69, went home to be with her Lord on January 22, 2022. She was a resident of the Nantahala Wesser Creek Community in Bryson City, NC. Linda was born to the late William (Bill) and Martha Dills Holden, in Bryson City, NC on March 2, 1952.

Samuel Edwin

WOFFINDIN—Samuel Edwin, passed away peacefully at his home in Asheville, NC on Dec. 20, 2021, just ten days shy of his 99th birthday.  He was deeply loved. Sam was the son of Joseph and Lillie Woffindin (née Neuman) of Landsdale, PA, and reared by his mother and very special grandparents.

John Henry Fortner Jr., (Buddy)

John Henry Fortner Jr., (Buddy), 84, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Saturday, January 22, 2022. A native of Swain County he was the son of the late John Henry Fortner Sr. and Nell Cochran Fortner.

Marilyn White Gray

Marilyn White Gray, 84, of Bryson City was born July 2, 1937 in Rutherford County to Baxter Esper and Janie Branch White, who greeted her upon her peaceful entrance to heaven on January 18th, 2022, along with her one younger brother, Barry Baxter White.
