Joseph “Joe” Thompson, 94, of the Big Cove Community went to his Heavenly Home to join his Father on Tuesday March 29, 2022. A native of Cherokee he was the son of the late Jackson and Alice Wolfe Thompson.

Donald Douglas Earley

Donald Douglas Earley, 80, of Bryson City went home to be with his Heavenly Father Sunday, March 27, 2022. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Andrew John and Maude Leanna Kirkland Earley. Donald’s Christian faith was an essential part of his life.

Clova Lee Mashburn

Archdale—Mrs. Clova Lee Mashburn, 93, resident of Trinity, died March 23, 2022 at High Point Medical Center. She was born March 20, 1929 in Bryson City, NC, a daughter to Berry and Cordellia Wright Mashburn.  Clova was a resident of this area all her life and a member of Landmark Baptist Church.

Eugene Keith Harlan

Eugene Keith Harlan, 67, of Marble, NC went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 22, 2022. A native of Cherokee and longtime resident of Marble, NC, he was the son of the late John Harlan Sr. and Vivian Ensley Harlan.

Joann Parton

Joann Parton, 64,  of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Friday, March 25, 2022. A lifelong resident of Swain County, she was the daughter of Joe Lawson Campbell of Bryson City and the late Marcilean Day Campbell. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charlie and Bobby Campbell.

Ida Louise Nations

Ida Louise Nations, 77, of Sylva, NC., went home to be with the Lord Sunday March 20, 2022 Louise was the daughter of the late Jack and Myrtle Turpin. She is survived by one son, Brian Nations; one brother, Lyle Turpin; and several nieces and nephews.

Donald Cameron Livingston

Donald Cameron Livingston, 83, of Greenwood, SC, beloved husband of Delores Stewart Livingston, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family.   Born in Brevard, NC, he was the second of six children born to Stanley and Faye Barlow Livingston.

Jeanne Moore Keller

Jeanne Moore Keller, of Tuckasegee, NC passed away Saturday, March 6, 2022 at the age of 95 after a long illness. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother and Friend who will be missed by many.

Teresa Carol Bailey

Teresa Carol Bailey, 57, of the Whittier community, passed away on March 5th, 2022, after a dedicated, difficult, long-fought battle with cancer. Teresa, born on November 19th,1964 to Harold and Joyce Bailey in Atlanta, Georgia, immediately brought joy and laughter into the world.
