Charles John Jordan, 80, of Bryson City, passed away at home after a long illness and has now gone home to be with the Lord. Charles is a U.S. Navy Veteran and his greatest love was bowling and the Smoky Mountain Senior Games. He was loved by all and is already missed by so many.

Donna Marie Carlton

Mrs. Donna Marie Carlton of Southmonth passed away on Oct 24, 2019 after a long battle with Sweets Disease. Donna was born in Bryson City, N.C. on Oct 1, 1951, to James Andrew Freeman and Hill Davis Freeman, both deceased. The family moved to Archdale in 1967.

Marie Edwards Alemany

Marie Edwards Alemany of Bryson City, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 5:30 AM Wednesday November 13, 2019 following a period of declining health. Mrs. Alemany was a native and resident of Swain County for most of her life.

Wayne Douglas Sturgill

Wayne Douglas Sturgill, 82, of Rutherford College, NC departed this life to his heavenly home on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Sturgill was born on July 11, 1937 in Wise County, Virginia to the late Watson Glen Sturgill and Edna Phillips Sturgill.

Jeffrey Breedlove

Although Jeffrey Breedlove was just 60 years young when he passed away unexpectedly on November 16, 2019, he lived a full life. He last resided in Bryson City but was born in Lexington, KY, on February 1, 1959. Jeff grew up in Detroit and later Royal Oak, Michigan.

  April 13, 1925-November 3, 2019 Former resident of Bryson City   Our family lost its beloved, treasured mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt when Dorothy Veronica “Dora” (Odens) Hembree passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019 at her residence at age 94, after a lengthy illness.

CAMDEN, S.C.- A service to celebrate the life of Victor “Butch” Harrison Williams, III, 78, was held on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Bethesda Presbyterian Church where he was a member. The family received friends from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.

Gene Curtis Evans, 87, of Bryson City, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday November 5, 2019. A native of Macon County and longtime resident of Swain County, he was the son of the late Sheridan and Dollie Pendergrass Evans.

Carolyn J. Miller, 64, passed away on October 19, 2019. She was born in Swain County, on April 25, 1955 to the late Etta Jane Collins.

Bobby L. Morris Sr.

Bobby L. Morris Sr. of Candler, formerly of Bryson City passed away Friday, October 25, 2019. He was a US Army Veteran having served in World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Jean Morris who passed away October 3, 1999 and his son, Billy V.
